The Asian Elephant Alliance has been formed to tackle the crisis faced by Asian Elephants. The member organizations are Elephant Family, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), IUCN Netherlands, Wildlife Trust of India and World Land Trust. Asian Elephant (Elephas maximus) is listed under the endangered category of IUCN Red List. Additional Information: African Elephant (Elephas maximus) is listed under the vulnerable category of IUCN Red List.
